A wedding ceremony taking place on the flower-decorated stage inside the mandapam

Weddings

A wedding day the whole family can settle into

Muhurtham in the morning, relatives arriving through the day, meals in rounds and somewhere for everyone to rest between it all — the hall is laid out for exactly that rhythm.

The Occasion

Traditional Tamil weddings, hosted properly

A South Indian wedding is not a single event. It is the nichayathartham that came before, the paligai and the nalangu the evening prior, the muhurtham at first light, and a lunch that runs in sittings until the last relative has eaten. A venue either understands that shape or it fights it.

The main hall here is a single open span of over 500 seats under full centralised air conditioning, with no pillars breaking the sightline to the stage. That means the manavarai can be built wherever the purohit and the family want it, not wherever the room allows. Around it there is room for the mel iruppu, for the maapillai party to be received, and for elders to sit through the whole ceremony comfortably.

Dining is a separate hall entirely, seating 250 at a time. The main hall never has to be cleared and reset in the middle of your function, and the smell of the kitchen stays where it belongs.

For the Wedding Day

What the day actually needs

Not a feature list for its own sake — these are the things families ask about first when they walk through the hall.

  • Pillar-free main hall

Over 500 seats in one open span, so the manavarai can be placed wherever the ceremony calls for it.

  • Full centralised AC

The whole hall is air conditioned — a April muhurtham is as comfortable as a December one.

  • Rooms for both families

Air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms, so the bride, groom and elders can change and rest on site.

  • Separate dining hall

Meals for 250 guests per sitting in their own hall, running independently of the ceremony.

  • Kitchen and utensils

A full working kitchen with large-scale vessels, ready for your caterer or the family cook.

  • Generator backup

A muhurtham does not wait for the power to come back. Backup covers the hall, the dining area and the lighting.

The morning ceremony

Most families arrive the previous evening for the paligai and nalangu, then start again before dawn. The hall is yours from the night before, so the decorators can build the manavarai and set the flowers overnight rather than racing the muhurtham. The stage sits at one end with clear sightlines from every seat, and the mezzanine level above gives the videographer a clean wide shot without anyone standing in the aisle.

  • Access from the previous evening for decoration
  • Clear sightlines from every seat to the manavarai
  • Mezzanine vantage point for photography and video
  • Sound and lighting points around the stage area

Guests, meals and the rest of it

Between the ceremony and the reception there is a long stretch where the venue is doing quiet work — feeding people in rounds, giving the ladies somewhere to change sarees, keeping the older relatives out of the sun. The dining hall seats 250 at a time with stainless serving counters and a premium hand wash area, so a 700-guest lunch moves in three comfortable sittings rather than one chaotic one. Parking for cars and two-wheelers is on the premises, so nobody is left on the bypass road.

  • 250 guests per dining sitting, three sittings without strain
  • Premium hand wash area and clean facilities
  • Car and two-wheeler parking on the premises
  • Rooms available for the family through the day
